Hidden by Shalini Boland

TITLE:  Hidden
AUTHOR:  Boland, Shalini
GENRE:  Fiction/Supernatural
MY RATING:  4.5/5
DATE FINISHED:  9/19/2011

I am now done with the first book in the Marchwood vampire series!  It was absolutely fantastic, so kudos to my best friend for letting me another fabulous story (yet again).  I finished this lent book on my NookColor with 10 days to spare.  10/14 days.  Needless to say, it is a very quick read.

The characters were a joy to read about, and I must say my friend is an excellent judge of books.  This book would absolutely make a great movie!  You can literally picture each scene, and how they would film all of the different exotic locations.  This book is definitely a must read for anyone!  Just beware... you will get hooked.  I cannot wait for the sequel!  It's supposed to come out later this year.

The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray

TITLE:  The Sweet Far Thing
AUTHOR:  Bray, Libba
GENRE:  Fiction/Supernatural
MY RATING:  4/5
DATE FINISHED:  9/15/2011

I am finally finished with the infamous Gemma Doyle trilogy!  And what a wonderful ride it was!!!

Upon reflection of the book at hand, I must admit that this was not my favorite story out of the trilogy.  I normally love all of the characters within the book, but I found some of their personality to be a bit grating during this one.  There were times where I felt like shouting, "What are you doing?!" to a certain character.  Libba Bray has written these characters beautifully and each has a mind of his or her own.  They can jump right off of the page at you.

Thank being said, the plot was lovely, and Ms. Bray did not disappoint in tying up of loose ends.  This book is for those who adore a tale of adventure, heart-break, and discovering onself.  A fabulous story for all ages.

Rebel Angels by Libba Bray

TITLE:  Rebel Angels
AUTHOR:  Bray, Libba
GENRE:  Fiction/Supernatural
MY RATING:  4/5
DATE FINISHED:  9/8/2011

I've just finished the second book in the Gemma Doyle trilogy, and it was absolutely wonderful.  The characters have all continued their growth, and they've become good friends.  This sequel to A Great and Terrible Beauty was filled with secrets and discoveries.  The series continues to be an incredible escape from the ordinary into the curious Victorian world.

Please dive into this series if you're in the need for a vacation from reality.  The story is lovely and intriguing, and will keep you guessing.  Some things may appear predictable to the experienced reader, but Libba Bray proves that nothing is ever as it seems.

A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray

TITLE:  A Great and Terrible Beauty

GENRE:  Fiction/Supernatural
MY RATING:  4.5/5

I actually finished this book early this morning, and didn't get to blog about it until now.  It was fantastic.  I couldn't wait to read the sequels to it, so I bugged out to B&N yesterday and bought them both.  Now I'm all set.  There are a lot of characters to keep track of, so I would rather just read straight through the series.  Now that I have them waiting on the shelf, I am extremely excited to get to reading.

The four main characters are such a joy to read about.  Gemma, Felicity, Pippa, and Ann are all so unique and compliment each other beautifully.  My favorite thing about this story would have to be the rich Victorian environment that Libba Bray creates.  This book truly is one that you should curl up under the covers to read.

It's genuinely lovely.
