Wow... torture, rape, meaningless sex scene.  Woe is this book!  This book touted some heavy themes, and even heavier reading material.  I was not expecting it to be this dark.  But, I guess, what should I expect from the Dark Hunter series.

Most of the plot involved the story of Acheron, a god cursed into a moral form.  His upbringing and life/death is horrifying, and difficult to read frankly.  Once he is brought back, as a strange gothic protector, things were a little easier to handle.

I liked some of the plot but most of it felt to expected.  The final female romantic interest was not interesting at all.  But she got her beautiful, gothic, dream man, and the chance to save him from himself.  But I have to wonder, what was so special about her.

Wouldn't personally recommend, but I'm sure lovers of paranomal romance would be interested.

Will read and write soon!
