A Game of Thrones: Eddard Stark

I am a decent way into A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin, and it is FANTASTIC!  I've made a vow that I will not watch the HBO series until I am finished reading the book.  Of course, I didn't realize how long the books were.  To sit down with all four in the series is a serious commitment.  The first one is over 800 pages, and it's the shortest out of all four.  I certainly have my work cut out for me.

While I haven't seen the actual HBO series, I have seen a few images, and they certainly are striking.  The characters are almost exactly how I pictured them.  My favorite character, so far, is Eddard Stark the Lord of Winterfell.  The costumes within the new television series look incredible.

I honestly don't think they could have gotten any closer to Eddard Stark than Sean Bean.  He is a phenomenal actor (one of my personal favorites).  He is exactly as I pictured him in the novel.  I will post more soon, but it may take me a while to get through this one.  Will read and write soon!
