The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender

TITLE:  The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake
AUTHOR:  Bender, Aimee
GENRE:  Fiction
MY RATING:  3/5
DATE FINISHED:  8/2/2011

I have to admit that this book was absolutely fascinating, and very strange.  The characters within all seemed so disconnected, but in a way, that added a delightful challenge to the story.  The main character, Rosie's, gift turns out to be both a gift and a curse.

I found this book a little difficult to read at times due to the lack of punctuation (quotation marks for dialogue were not included).  But to each author, his or her own.  It was an intriguing style.

It's a very quick, distracting read, and is definitely a book that I would recommend for anyone looking for just that.  A quick distraction.  Lovely.
